Wir sind mit der F\u00e4hre von Livorna nach Bastia gefahren (\u00fcber Nacht) und dann am n\u00e4chsten Morgen gleich weiter nach Santa Giulia in der N\u00e4he von Porto-Vecchio. Hier sind im S\u00fcden von Korsika gibt es wundersch\u00f6ne und karibisch anmutende Str\u00e4nde mit klarem t\u00fcrkisem Wasser und feinem Sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weitere Stopps auf unserer Reise waren:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ein Tagestrip nach Bonifacio (wundersch\u00f6n auf einem Fels am Meer gelegen aber f\u00fcr unseren Geschmack zu touristisch)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ajaccio (Hauptstadt von Korsika und Geburtsstadt von Napoleon Bonaparte)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corte (mit Wanderung durch das Vall\u00e9e du Tavignano bis zur Ponte di u Russulinu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>und am letzten Tag Bastia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Korsika hat wie schon erw\u00e4hnt vor allem im S\u00fcden wundersch\u00f6ne Str\u00e4nde und eine atemberaubende Berglandschaft, die Infrastruktur ist aber sehr rudiment\u00e4r ausgepr\u00e4gt. Duschen oder M\u00fclleimer an den Str\u00e4nden sucht man fast immer vergeblich, dennoch sind die Str\u00e4nde sehr sauber und man merkt, dass hier eher weniger Partytouristen herkommen. Auch mit den Wanderwegen hatten wir nicht immer Gl\u00fcck &#8211; ein Komoot-Vorschlag f\u00fcr einen Rundweg war nicht vollst\u00e4ndig passiert und wir sind im Wildschwein-Gestr\u00fcpp gelandet, bei einer anderen Tour war der Kommentar &#8222;Ziegenpfad&#8220; auch nicht ganz unzutreffend&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Stra\u00dfen auf unserer Strecke waren sehr gut ausgebaut (mein Auto ist nicht gerade gel\u00e4ndetauglich), wir hatten aber nicht genug Zeit um in die kleineren Seitent\u00e4ler zu fahren, wo das eventuell anders aussieht. Die F\u00e4hr\u00fcberfahrt nach Korsika wollte ich \u00fcbrigens schon lange machen, hier hat das Corsica Ferries Marketing mit dem ikonischen gelben Aufkleber auf den Autos seine Wirkung nicht verfehlt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some panoramic photos from a trip to Corsica in May 2025. We took the ferry from Livorno to Bastia (overnight) and then continued on to Santa Giulia near Porto-Vecchio the next morning. Here in the south of Corsica, there are beautiful Caribbean-like beaches with clear turquoise water and fine sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other stops on our trip were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A day trip to Bonifacio (beautifully situated on a cliff by the sea, but too touristy for our taste)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ajaccio (capital of Corsica and birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corte (with a hike through the Vall\u00e9e du Tavignano to the Ponte di u Russulinu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And Bastia on the last day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As already mentioned, Corsica has beautiful beaches, especially in the south, and breathtaking mountain scenery, but the infrastructure is very rudimentary. Showers and trash cans are almost always nowhere to be found on the beaches, yet the beaches are very clean and you can tell that fewer party tourists come here. We weren&#8217;t always lucky with the hiking trails either \u2013 a Komoot suggestion for a circular route wasn&#8217;t complete and we ended up in wild boar scrub, and on another tour, the comment \u201cgoat path\u201d wasn&#8217;t entirely inaccurate\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The roads on our route were very well developed (my car is not exactly off-road capable), but we didn&#8217;t have enough time to drive into the smaller side valleys, where things might be different.
