Hier sind einige Bilder aus Albanien. Die Aufnahmen sind im Oktober 2016 im Rahmen eines Balkan-Trips entstanden, der mich zusammen mit einem Freund durch Mazedonien, Albanien und Montenegro gef\u00fchrt hat. Am interessantesten fand ich dabei Albanien, daher kommen diese Bilder hier zuerst: Albanien bietet meiner Meinung nach den besten \u201eExotik-pro-Flugstunde\u201c-Faktor. Wer etwas abenteuerlustig ist und eine gewisse Exotik sucht, muss also nicht unbedingt interkontinental fliegen, sondern wird auch vor der Haust\u00fcre f\u00fcndig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind in Pogradec am Ohridsee nach Albanien eingereist (zu Fu\u00df \u00fcber die Grenze). Dabei haben sich die \u00fcbelsten Vorurteile erstmal best\u00e4tigt \u2013 die Stadt macht einen sehr armen und trostlosen Eindruck. Wir sind daher direkt mit dem Bus weiter nach Tirana, wo die Welt schon besser aussah. Die Stadt macht im Zentrum einen modernen Eindruck, lediglich die schlechte Luft erinnert daran, dass viele der Autos (zum Gro\u00dfteil 30 Jahre alte Mercedes) vermutlich noch ohne Katalysator fahren – Dieselgate ist in Albanien noch kein Thema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ab Tirana ging es mit dem Mietwagen weiter nach\u00a0Vlora und von dort an der albanischen Riviera weiter bis nach Saranda; von der Fahrt auf der SH8 gibt es bereits ein Hyperlapse-Video<\/a>. In Saranda sind wir einige Tage geblieben, haben die Gegend erkundet und das gute Wetter, das kristallklare Meer und lokale K\u00f6stlichkeiten genossen. Dass in der Region gewisse organisierte Wirtschaftsstrukturen vorherrschen, merkt man dabei im Alltag deutlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weiter ging es dann mit einem kurzen Zwischenstopp an der Karstquelle Syri i Kalt\u00ebr nach Gjirokastra, Durr\u00ebs und wieder zur\u00fcck nach Tirana, wo wir den Mietwagen zur\u00fcckgegeben haben. Mit dem Bus sind wir dann weitergefahren nach Shkodra im Norden des Landes, \u00fcber die Grenze ging es wieder zu Fu\u00df…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some pictures from Albania. The pictures were taken in October 2016 as part of a Balkan trip that took me and a friend through Macedonia, Albania and Montenegro. I found Albania the most interesting, so these pictures come first: in my opinion, Albania offers the best „exotic-per-flight-hour“ factor. So if you’re a bit adventurous and looking for a certain exoticism, you don’t necessarily have to fly intercontinental, you can also find it on your doorstep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We entered Albania in Pogradec on Lake Ohrid (by crossing the border on foot). Our worst preconceptions were confirmed – the town made a very poor and desolate impression. We therefore took the bus directly to Tirana, where the world looked a lot better. The city center makes a modern impression, only the bad air reminds us that many of the cars (mostly 30-year-old Mercedes) probably still drive without catalytic converters – Dieselgate is not yet an issue in Albania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Tirana, we continued by rental car to Vlora and from there along the Albanian Riviera to Saranda; there is already a Hyperlapse video<\/a> of the journey on the SH8. We stayed in Saranda for a few days, explored the area and enjoyed the good weather, the crystal-clear sea and local delicacies. The fact that certain organized economic structures prevail in the region is clearly noticeable in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then continued with a short stopover at the karst spring Syri i Kalt\u00ebr to Gjirokastra, Durr\u00ebs and back to Tirana, where we returned the rental car.
